We are so happy and proud to share with you the name we have chosen for our son. We have decided to call him Joseph Kainoa Kittinger. We picked this name for several reasons. First and foremost, we wanted to name our son after my father Joseph Kittinger, who has had such a positive impact in Jack’s life and has been a wonderful father-in-law for Daniela. The name Kainoa was chosen for several reasons. First, when used with another name, Kainoa means to honor a namesake. Other variations of the name refer to the ocean. Kai means ocean and Kai-noa means free ocean. We really loved the multiple meanings of the name and plan on calling him Kai for short.
